Don't Wake Mario!!! Custom Board Game

Don't Wake Mario!!! Custom Board Game

This one has been in the works for years. I had this idea way back when I did the Gutsman Operation, but I was having a hard time finding the game at a fair price. Luckily, they re-released the game, and so I thought now would be a great time to make it.

You are looking at Don't Wake Mario, a board game inspired by the classic NES game Super Mario Bros. 2. This game comes with all custom game pieces, cards, spinner, board, instructions, and pop-up Mario figure. As you can see from the picture, everything has been redone in a style that fits with the classic game.

Pokemon Fallout Mashup Custom Figure

Pokemon Fallout Mashup Custom Figure

Have you ever wondered what the Pokemon Universe would be like after a nuclear fallout? Probably not, but here is what it would look like. I have been wanting to do a mash-up of Fallout and Pokemon for a while, but couldn't come up with a decent idea. Eventually, this interesting piece is what developed. I was originally going to go with the standard Pikachu as his partner, but decided to use a Pokemon that was more canine in nature (since in Fallout, you could have a dog as a companion).

Warrior Wario Fantasy Custom Figure

Warrior Wario Fantasy Custom Figure

“In the art of war, if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the approaching battles. But if you know only yourself and not the enemy, for every victory, there will also be defeat.” ― Emily Thorne

Here is my latest custom Wario Figure. I was going for a fantasy/Wario mashup, and I think it came out very cool. Battle Wario was made using a World of Warcraft Figure that I found for fairly cheap. Using a bunch of little details from the Super Mario franchise, the world of fantasy and old school gaming are mixed together.

Bendy and the Ink Machine Custom Beargguy

Bendy and the Ink Machine Custom Beargguy

Check out my latest custom Beargguy! My kids are in love with Bendy and the Ink Machine, so I thought I would do this for them! I used a Beargguy and some wood blocks for the base. The cut-outs are just cardboard. If you would like to see more pictures, please visit My Flickr Page. This is currently not for sale, but I do have a lot of other customs for sale on My Etsy Page.
Princess Peach Mech Chop Shop

Princess Peach Mech Chop Shop

Have you ever wondered what Princess Peach does in her spare time? Well in the Mario Mech Universe, she runs a Mech/Robot parts shop. She has everything you could need to repair your suit, or build a companion to help around the house.

This was made using a World of Simpsons comic book shop with some heavy modifications. Most of the parts are just random thing that I had in my parts bin (can you tell that I have a lot of robot parts ^_^ ). I also used a R.O.B. Amiibo. I thought it fit.

Cerberus Pikachu Custom Figure

Cerberus Pikachu Custom Figure

In ancient Alola mythology, there exists a three headed rodent called Cerberus Pikachu that guards the entrance to the underworld, a misty and gloomy place in which spirits of the dead are permitted to enter but none are allowed to leave. Cerberus Pikachu fawned on the dead or new spirits as they entered, but would savagely eat anyone trying to pass back through the gates and return to the land of the living.

I have been wanting to make a three headed Pokémon for quite a while, but I couldn't find any that fit this cool Cerberus body I had. I finally got a break at my local thrift store, where I found two out of the three heads. After a quick search on eBay, I found what I needed, and what you see is what I came up with. All the parts were found randomly in thrift stores (except one of the Pikachu heads and the base). I had to do a little sculpting to get the transition between furry dog, and not so furry Pikachu, but I think it came out great.

Mad Max Poké Road Pokémon Custom

Mad Max Poké Road Pokémon Custom

"Following a nuclear holocaust, the world has become a desert wasteland and civilization has collapsed. Humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life."

I love the imagery of the post apocalyptic world in the Mad Max Movies, and I thought it would be cool to put some Pokémon into the mix. Here is my latest custom "Mad Max Poké Road". I wanted to make a car that was both "functional" and defensive in the wastelands of this world, and I think I did a pretty good job. I especially love the Koffing on the front and all spears.

I used LEGO spears, random wheels I had lying around, Pokémon figures, and an retro looking car that I picked up at a thrift store. All the other details were just stuff I had in my parts bin.

Mech Mario and Princess Peach at the Movies

Mech Mario and Princess Peach at the Movies

Do you ever what Mario and Peach do with their spare time? I figure they do the same things we all like to do, like go to the movies in a mech suit. If I had a mech suit, I would totally wear it everywhere. Unfortunately for Mario and Peach, the kids behind them are being quite annoying, but at least Pikachu is enjoying the movie.

I used a World of Springfield Movie theater play set, a bunch of random Gundam parts and pieces, an anime girl for Princess Peach's body, and some Rement food miniatures to finish of the piece. I also wired up a piece of EL (electro-luminescent) panel behind the movie screen so that it really looks like they are watching on the big screen.

If you would like to see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page. I have this available for purchase at My Etsy Shop. The last one of these sold out within a day, so if you are thinking of picking this up, please hurry. Thanks so much.
Kodykoala's Nintendo Mech Bar

Kodykoala's Nintendo Mech Bar

Where can you go after a long day of Mech fights and battles? Come down to the Nintendo Mech Bar, where we have everything a person needs to relax. Come enjoy our lovely bar keep Peach, and her sometimes annoying pet Pikachu. Watch current events on our retro TV, or enjoy a nice drink. We also have an amazing love tester. Find out if you are a Super Star, or just a Goomba. We accept all major credit cards, and as always Mushroom Kingdom Cash is accepted.

After making the Arcade, I got inspired to make other small diorama type customs. I really fell in love with the "World of Springfield" Simpsons playsets, so I am using quite a few in my next series of customs. The main base is a Moe's Tavern, Princess Peach's body is an anime gashapon, Mario and Walugi's bodies are Gundam figures, and the rest was modified to fit the theme.

If you would like to see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page. I am also selling this on My Etsy Page, so if you are interested in getting this, it is currently available. This is no longer available. Sorry
Nintendo Mech Arcade

Nintendo Mech Arcade

Lately I have been working on a lot of more affordable customs to sell. While I was working on them, I got the idea to make a diorama of mechs playing arcade machines. Of course I had to add a Nintendo twist to it. The lights and arcade screens even light up.

For the build, I used a World of Springfield playset, a 1/200 Gundam figure for Luigi, a Gundam gashapon figure for Toad, a World of Nintendo Skull Kid, and a Megaman figure that I had lying around (not sure what set he is from). I wired the LEDs and used the battery compartment that was already available in the playset.

If you would like to see more, please visit My Flickr Page. I am still debating whether I will be selling this piece, but when I do, I will post it on My Etsy Page. For more updates, please like me on Facebook.
