Kodykoala's Custom Zombie Gameboy

Kodykoala's Custom Zombie Gameboy

Here is a custom that was unexpected. I found an old Gameboy and I wanted to do something with it. While I was taking it apart, I was reminded of Gameboy from Captain N, and I thought it would be cool to make the screen a face. This Gameboy was really beat up to begin with, so I decided the Zombie motif would work with it.

The face is a printed piece of paper and is from Sparetype. The feet are from an Iron Man Mark I figure and the hands are from an Iron Monger Figure. I wanted to make it seem like it was bleeding, but since it is not human I used a metallic brown for blood instead. This stands about 6-7 inches. Kodykoala's Hard Drive JunkBot

Kodykoala's Hard Drive JunkBot

I haven't done one of these in a long while, but I had a bunch of old hard drives lying around, so I though I would make this guy. I mainly used the hard drive heads, but I also threw in a few of the disks and a case for the base. I am probably going to give this to someone at work, but I wanted to share and show that you don't have to throw out all your old computer stuff. For more pictures, go to My Flickr Page.

Kodykoala's Custom Mario and Zombie Luigi

Kodykoala's Custom Mario and Zombie Luigi

I realized that I did not have a zombie scene with Mario in it. We all know that Mario would not get infected by any Zombie disease, but that is not going to stop zombie Luigi from trying to recruit is big bro. I wanted the Luigi to look almost exactly like the one that I did a while ago, and I had him attack his brother, but Mario was not unprepared. He comes equipped with a handgun, blade, and shotgun that is about to shoot off Luigi's head.

I used 5" vinyl figures and some weapons that I had lying around. The base was made with apoxy sculpt. If you would like to see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page. If you are interested in purchasing this piece, it is for sale in My Customs Store.
Kodykoala's Custom Darth Vaderman

Kodykoala's Custom Darth Vaderman

Here is another Star Wars mashup. I found this Darth Vader Bath toy along with the Yoda one I used for the Toad Jedi. The Darth Vader bath toy wasn't very useable except for the head, so I used a vinyl Shadowman figure. I have seen a lot of people do pixel art in the style of Megaman, so I thought I would do it with toys.

I wasn't sure what colors to paint him since Darth Vader is all black, but most Megaman Bosses are at least two colors. I think the darker silver works pretty well.

Kodykoala's Custom Toad Jedi

Kodykoala's Custom Toad Jedi

I found this awesome Yoda bath toy at the flea market and thought the body would be awesome with something else. The only character I had that was short enough to pull it off was Toad, so he was chosen. This one took me a little bit to fill in the holes and cracks from what I cut out. It went from being totally hollow to mostly solid. It stands about 5-6 inches tall.

Kodykoala's Custom Elecman Cabinet

Kodykoala's Custom Elecman Cabinet

Back in the day, people believed that electricity was a way to cure many sicknesses. They even made boardwalk machines that shot electricity through your system. I thought it would be cool to have none other than Elecman generate the electricity. Here is my Elecman boardwalk cabinet. I used a Boardwalk bank that I found at Toys r Us. It doesn't generate electricity, but it does vibrate and has LEDs. I used an Arduino mini Pro for this project so that I could get the motor and LEDs to got at different speeds. The Elecman is just a vinyl Elecman that I picked up at a flea market. The whole thing stands about 9-10 inches tall. Not sure if I am going to sell this one, but if you would like to see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page.
Kodykoala's Custom Fire Megaman Mario

Kodykoala's Custom Fire Megaman Mario

Lately I have been into mixing characters, and I wondered what Mario would look like wearing the Blue Bomber's Armor. Well here you go. I decided to make him have fire power because I liked the colors.

I used a Megaman vinyl figure, a Mario vinyl figure's face, and a Goomba for the Neomet. I sculpted the Goomba's head, and I used Apoxy Sculpt to fill in the holes in the figure. The figure stands about 6 inches tall

Kodykoala's Custom Dr. Mario and Nurse Peach

Kodykoala's Custom Dr. Mario and Nurse Peach

Here is my other submission to Super Iam8bit. Have you ever wondered why Mario went into medicine? I know Princess Peach has a kind heart and likes to help others, so it is obvious why she is a nurse. I think Mario's motives are a little more selfish.

I used a World of Simpsons Dr. Hibbert body for Mario. The head is a head from a 5' vinyl Mario, and the hair is sculpted. Peach consists of a Rei nurse figure, legs from a hentai figure and the head of a princess peach vinyl figure. The head of the princess had to be reshaped because the vinyl figure from Japan was horrible.

Kodykoala's Custom Eggplant Wizard

Kodykoala's Custom Eggplant Wizard

Here is one of my submissions to Super Iam8bit. I wanted to do something that was different than my usual, and I have always had a soft spot for Eggplant wizard ever since Captain N. I used a Dragon Quest Dragon King vinyl figure for the body. The head was sculpted from Apoxy Sculpt, and the tiles were LEGO 2 x 2 tiles roughed up.

This was a lot of fun, and I am really excited for it to be in the show. If you are interested in purchasing it, it will be on sale by Iam8bit after the show. To see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page.

Kodykoala's Custom Mega Obama Man

Kodykoala's Custom Mega Obama Man

This is Obama as Megaman. I have wanted to do a custom Obama figure ever since I saw them, but I couldn't figure out what to do with him. I had a bunch of Megaman parts lying around, so I thought this would be a great fit. I used a Jailbreak Toys Barack Obama figure and a vinyl Megaman Figure from Toys r' Us.

If you are interested in purchasing this, please head on over to My Store for $40 shipped. I am still holding on to something special that I will be posting on Sunday or Monday, so please keep an eye out. To see more pictures, please go to My Flickr Page.
